DeckX is a divison of the TransX Group of Companies established in 1996 to offer open deck services to customers domestically and internationally. 20 years later, we have maintained an excellent reputation as a leading provider of open deck services for the steel, agricultural, oil and gas, construction, aerospace, and mining industries, and including many other specialty manufacturing sectors within North America.

Today, our fleet encompasses approximately 160 trucks and is operated by some of the safest and best flat deck transportation professionals in the industry.

National and cross-border freight carrier in North America

Daniel Goyette, our founder and still active President, started C.A.T. Inc. in 1978 to serve the truckload requirements of businesses shipping between Canada, the United States and Mexico. In the last four decades, C.A.T. has grown to be part of Canada’s TOP 25 For Hire Carriers. This accomplishment was attained by building a dedicated team, running a quality operation, and retaining the loyalty and support of our valued customers. In 2011, the customer demand led us into developing a specialized logistics division called C.A.T. Global, which currently employs over 40 freight management specialists, represents 30% of our overall activity and operates offices in strategic centers throughout North America. This division was further enhanced by the addition of intermodal services specialists operating out of Ohio, who coordinate full container load (FCL) activity between NAFTA markets and domestically within Canada and the United States.

We think truck drivers should have access to great training, without having to sacrifice their weekends.

We believe that technology can help solve some of the problems that trucking faces, and that providing the tools, information, and motivation people need will result in more successful fleets and a thriving industry.

In 2005, when we first came into trucking, we saw an industry that had a lot of training needs, and few good options for meeting those needs. CarriersEdge was created to help get more training to drivers, and to do so without disrupting the rest of the business. Since that time, we’ve continued to expand our core offerings in a variety of ways – adding content in different subjects and languages, and an ever increasing set of management support functions – but we haven’t strayed from our core mission of providing best-in-class driver training options for fleets of all sizes.
